1 Purple are a mixed class of 25
children. The class consists of Kindergarten, Year One and
Year Two students. We are a bubbly group of people who all
enjoy school and the activities school brings. Literacy and
Numeracy Groups run from Monday through to Thursday. Friday
is the day we get to enjoy ourselves and have fun!! Friday
activities include: Art/Craft, Developmental Play, Music,
Swimming, and best of all Stage 1 Assembly.
We began the year with a unit called 'What we do at school'.
This lasted for three weeks an then we began learning about
the 6 Thinking Hats. We have learnt about the White, Red and
Yellow hat. 1 Purple showed an item on assembly using the
hats. The children used the microphone and wore the hats to
talk about what assembly is and how it makes us feel. This
was fun. We are learning a Hi-5 song at the moment called
'Buried Treasure'. We hope to sing this at assembly in a few
weeks. 1 Purple will begin a new unit in Week 6 called 'Back
to Nature'.
1 Purple's classroom is always open to visitors. Come in
anytime and see what we are up to!
